So what…. it has been probably a good two weeks since I’ve posted last. I guess you could say that I just needed a moment away from the blogging. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed every bit of it, I just needed a step back… from all things social really. My instastories went down in the amount I posted, as well as general training posts, and guess what? That’s okay!
So we’re almost at the two week mark of the new year and I’m excited to say that I’ve already reached one goal, 40km of the lululemon 40/80 challenge… and I’m still on track to close all my rings every day for the month of January on my Apple Watch. So high five to me!
Going into the New Year, I did not have any set goals or resolutions, as I’ve never been one to make those. I feel as if you can make a change at any time of the year, but perhaps the new year is easier since there’s more accountability buddies available. With that being said…. I did make one yesterday after reviewing which picture to post on IG from my run yesterday… so here’s my great resolution…
To take a jumping picture in which I am actually smiling. Yup, it’s just that simple. It’s a goal I want to accomplish and I will use 2019 as an opportunity to learn how to take awesome jumping pictures.
Moving forward, 2019 has been great I’ve been super consistent with running, only missed one day, but I’ve been getting up and moving exercise wise everyday and that’s really all I care about at this point. I do have some pretty exciting races coming up, and of course because it’s me, that means travel. In the meantime, I’ll just be using this newfound motivation to better myself in my chosen sports of running, spinning, and strength conditioning with hopes of finally capturing a PR at Dallas at the end of the year after trying for two years and not getting it because I don’t train properly.
So happy 2019, I hope you’re all out there crushing it still.
Happy Running Y’all!
