2018

Welcome 2018. It’s that time of the year in which many decide to make resolutions and/or set new goals, and provide a brief overview of how the previous year went. While 2017 was not perfect, I didn’t hate it, I wasn’t anxious for a fresh start (fresh starts can be made at any moment), I have no major regrets or disappointments from 2017. Now, are there things I want to improve, absolutely, but that’s just a general process in life.

With that being said, in 2017 I was signed up for a triathlon that got rained out…but guess what? I showed up ready to participate. I captained my first Ragnar Relay team and signed up to captain another relay team in 2018. I finally beat a very old 10k PR by 8 minutes, I got to hang out with awesome people…my fellow Ragnar Luckenbach ambassadors, finished my first November project dallas workout, and I got to walk past Shalane Flanagan & Meb as I crossed the start line of the Dallas Half Marathon.

Now 2018…it’s going to be busy and I’m going to have find a balance between everything I want to do, and everything I CAN do (thanks bank account). I am actively signed up to run Ragnar TN in March, HTC Portland in May, & Bourbon Chase (Ragnar in October), this also includes a sprint tri in March that I’m also registered for. I am most definitely adding on Dallas Marathon (Half) weekend again to my schedule and after running the new course this year, I’m thinking that may be the goal race for the year.

But that’s pretty much it. I’m going to attempt to get back to blogging, and posting, and going back to basics this year. But again, I’m only human. Until next time…
